1. You are going back to the protagonist's story right? Because right now the two don't have a very strong connection. 2. Saxley confuses me a little. Why is there more honor in killing a man yourself than killing him with a gun? No matter how you dress it up, you're still killing someone. Overall I like it. It doesn't really seem to have a purpose right now, but it's just the beginning. I'm confident that you'll give it one, and that you knew what I just said already.
only thing i can really say is that the transition between the first and second parts doesn't seem to completely be there.

and with the honor part, eddie smalls, a gun against a man there isn't really a chance for him to defend himself, unless he also has a gun. against a sword the man has a chance to strike back, if he's got good reflexes and training.
But against a sword there wouldn't really be a chance for the other man unless he also had a sword, just like with the gun. I don't know, I think killing is ugly no matter how you dress it up.
