1. You are going back to the protagonist's story right? Because right now the two don't have a very strong connection.
2. Saxley confuses me a little. Why is there more honor in killing a man yourself than killing him with a gun? No matter how you dress it up, you're still killing someone.
Overall I like it. It doesn't really seem to have a purpose right now, but it's just the beginning. I'm confident that you'll give it one, and that you knew what I just said already.

only thing i can really say is that the transition between the first and second parts doesn't seem to completely be there.

that's basically all i've got.

and with the honor part, eddie smalls, a gun against a man there isn't really a chance for him to defend himself, unless he also has a gun. against a sword the man has a chance to strike back, if he's got good reflexes and training.

But against a sword there wouldn't really be a chance for the other man unless he also had a sword, just like with the gun. I don't know, I think killing is ugly no matter how you dress it up.

but with a sword it's more personal, because it's like you're actually challanging the person to combat, instead of just killing him
