I, the purchaser, intend on browsing through them and reading what's of interest. If I made up a wish list of books, this collection wouldn't be on it, but for a reasonable price, how could one turn down a 48 volume collection?!
In response to question two, according to the lister, they were appraised at $450.
exactly, james! when i clerked in a law office, one of the more menial tasks (well, aside from being in charge of "seasonal decor, such as the office xmas tree) was replacing the pages of legal texts, on a quarterly basis, with revised inserts. boy have a lot of quarters passed since 1961! they would be interesting to have, perhaps just not useful enough to buy.

How did you clerk in a law office? I've never found a single person who has so much as been paid to step into the door of a law office who doesn't have at least a paralegal from Sally Struthers.
