[The video clicks on a view of the Western Gate. Sanji never got a clear answer on whether he could go through any Gate he wanted, so he went back home through the Gate he thought he Woke up by. He had been brought into Nautilus in the West, when the city was desperately drawing in people, but once that storm ended, Sanji Woke truly in the East ( Read more... )

[Orihime didn't want to come. It's not entirely selfish...if she goes to THAT district and has a mental breakdown, she's not going to be of any help at all to Sanji, and wind up being a double burden for everyone else. But she watches the feed, waiting and hoping someone else notices.]

[How much time passes? She doesn't really know. It feels like too long, though, and he's not moving, and she's getting scared. Finally she decides to risk it, and vanishes from the Fibonacci Museum.]

[This is why, when Sanji finally awakes, he'll find himself covered by a gold dome of light as his injuries slowly erase themselves. Where's Orihime? Huddled over there, hiding her face against her knees, trying to think of nice things instead of the horrible flashbacks her mind keeps revisiting against its will.]

[Conciousness came back slowly... but gradually, steadily. If he was to compare it with anything, Sanji would say it was like heating up molasses. It was slow, very slow at first... but gradually got smoother, and poured faster in time. After some time had passed, Sanji's brow knit, and he let out a weak, strained grunt. Then his eyes snapped open as everything came back at once, and he sat up sharply, ignoring the pain that came with that movement. They were on the Merry... that bastard wanna-be god had just appeared on their ship, and... and..!]

Nami-san!

[He winced and hissed in pain, and looked around, trying to spot Nami (or Usopp), or that Enel-bastard... then his eyes widened and his posture slumped as he took in his surroundings. For a moment, he was completely disorientated. He was enclosed in this golden dome of light, and he wasn't on the Merry, nor anywhere in Skypeia, from the looks of it. It was a little hard to make out details through whatever covered over him, plus it cast a yellowish-tint over everything, ( ... )

[The shield doesn't bend, move, or yield. If Sanji pushes too hard at it, the shield may even electrically shock him. As if he hasn't had enough of that already.]

Not yet...

[Her voice is smothered in her skirt as she studiously keeps her head down, holding onto her legs tightly. The less she sees of this place, the better.]

Not until you're finished healing.

[She doesn't raise her head, but maybe he can hear the relief in her voice if he can't see it on her face. She's glad she wasn't too late to help him.]

I'm sorry it took me so long to get to you.

[Sanji winced and pulled back his hand as the shield zapped him. Compared to what he faced earlier, this was akin to a bee sting as opposed to getting run over by an elephant. He clenched his hands into fists, frowning as again a feeling of uselessness washed over him. He attempted to smooth that away with a weak grin.]

I'm fine now, Orihime-chan... honestly! You've done wonders. [Well, really, his skin was still a little rough, and it still stung to move, but...] This is nothing, really! I've fared far worse, before. I can move. We can leave this shitty place... go someplace more comfortable! Please let me out...

[At her last sentance, his jaw dropped a little, then he was shaking his head wildly in denial. (And the world seemed to continue spinning for a brief moment after he stopped.)] No, Orihime-chan... Please don't apologize! You weren't late. I... [Well, he didn't know how long he was out, by there was no way he was going to hold Orihime in any way accountable!] It's MORE than enough that you came out here, to ( ... )
