Who: Holiday and her Shadow [CLOSED]
What: Trying to face it ON HER OWN. NO, HOLIDAY, DON'T BE A HERO.
Where: Somewhere on the outer edge of the Northern District, in disguise of The Hole from her world.
When: TONIGHT
Notes: This is REALLY IMPORTANT to any of her peeps. I tried to keep it a secret as much as I could. :3 Also, this is RIGHT BEFORE the network post that I'm going to put up very shortly. Also, this log is pretty long. @.@
Warnings: VIE-OH-LENCE and EMOTION EVERYWHERE.

It stood before her in a looming mass and it was obvious to any Providence personel what it could be. The giant metal doors stood in macabre glory, as she just... stared at it.

The Hole. Back home, when EVOs were too powerful to handle, but were ordered to be contained, The Hole was where they were put. Only one EVO ever occupied it and probably... hopefully ever will.

Holiday stood there, alone. They had said to call for help, call for backup. But she had seen what these things were capable of and heard what these things could say. The last thing she wanted was someone else trying to clean up her problem to only be killed in the process. No. These were her problems and her issues. At least she knew what to expect from it, anyway.

Any doubt that this shadow didn't belong to her was simply not there. She knew it was her's and she knew it was something she would have to face, preferably alone. She could already hear a mass of voices screaming at her over that decision, Six probably at the forefront. It didn't phase her, however. She simply dropped her device outside of the doors, walking in.

It didn't take her long to navigate the labyrinth at all. She knew exactly where she was going and eventually, she came upon the door. The small, triangular glass stood between and what was inside the room. It wasn't the usual view, but it was what she had expected. She put in the key code she knew like the back of her hand, and the door opened.

She walked in, stopping before her glowing eyed twin.

"I know I have my fair share of problems. I've lived with them and I still do, so what do you want?" The doctor growled at the thing. She hardly had time for this. Rex was in horrible state due to his own shadow, Xavier was supposed to be safe in the Medbay or hopefully in Helix by now. God only knew where Six was, not to mention the rest of her friends that she hadn't heard much from.

It smiled to her, a cheshire grin. "You're fair share of problems, huh? Well, I guess you do believe that," it said, folding it's arms across it's chest, "You've forgotten."

Holiday curled her nose. "Forgotten?" She looked around at the room, angrily. "I have hardly forgotten what this place is or my purpose!"

"Yes, you have!," it screamed at her, "So, Doctor. Where should I begin? With the kid?"

"Listen! None of that, especially Rex, has anything to do-"

"SHUT UP!" It lunged for her, extremely quickly. Before she had a chance to block anything, it had already landed a punch in her stomach, Holiday doubling over. "You have FORGOTTEN! How could you!?"

Holiday gasped for air, lowering herself to her knees. "I haven't forgotten her."

"LIAR!" It didn't attack that time. Instead, it stood hovering above her, daring her to rise again. "You've wanted to forget. You've hidden yourself behind a shade of a family that you want to believe cares about you. Loves you. When the real thing is trapped and you're HERE!"

"It's not like that!," she finally spoke up.

"IT IS!"

"I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN HER!," Holiday screamed, "And they do care about me! Just because of what happened to her doesn't mean I should turn my back on them-"

"BUT HE'S THE DAMN ANSWER!," it screamed again, "Somewhere in that kid's body is the answer to finding the cure and you're too damn scared to find it!"

"He's a kid!"

"She's your sister!"

Holiday shot up again, fist already pulled back, but the thing was faster, quickly knocking it's elbow against her face and sending a quick punch to the ribs. She fell back down to the floor. It stood over her again, breathing hard from rage. "And yet, you still care about that brat."

Holiday coughed against the floor, trying to push herself back up. "It's Rex," she told it, voice harsh.

"Right. Rex. You know as well as I do what's going to become of him." It walked a little closer to her, watching the doctor pick herself up, not even managing to get to her legs. "You're trying to use him to replace something real. And you could, too. But you know, sooner or later, he's finally going to snap. He'll either turn into that monster, just like his shadow kept preaching, or he'll forget all about you. He'll never even know you're name. He'll never know how much you care."

She took in a few deep breaths. The shadow felt powerful, considering that the punch sent to her abdomen had to have done some damage. "That won't happen. None of it will."

"You know it will."

"If it does, I'll be there for him."

"Like his parents were there?" It knelt down next to her, hissing in her ear. "He doesn't remember his own mother. Why would he remember you?"

Holiday took the close proximity to her advantage, trying to lunge for it again. Once again, the thing took her arm, twirling Holiday's back to itself and hear a nice pop come from her shoulder. Holiday gritted her teeth against the pain, feeling it's arm wrap around her neck, it voice quietly hissing in her ear.

"Let's not forget the man in your life," it said, grunting every now and then to stop Holiday from struggling, "Somehow, you've managed to find a way to hide behind him, too. Somehow you believe he cares, just a little bit."

Her good hand try to pry away it's arm. Eventually, it let her go, walking back and away from her. Holiday herself, finally managed to gain balance on her feet, shooting glares to the shadow, her limp arm not moving. She took in a few breaths, eventually hissing out, "He does care."

It slowly walked around her, stealthily stalking her every movement. "He doesn't care about anything except for Rex and even then, it's not much," she stopped walking, standing a few feet from her, "At most, he probably just considers you annoying."

"You don't know him," Holiday growled quietly, "I do."

"I'm you."

Yeah, she had heard that. But this thing-... It was very wrong. "Hardly."

"You're right," it growled. It lunged one more time, but Holiday was on guard. She had managed a solid punch to it's own stomach, but it didn't phase the thing. It's hand wrapped around her neck, slamming the back of her head against the wall. "I'm better than you. I haven't forgotten my purpose."

"I haven't-," Holiday gasped for air as it tightened it's grip.

"You fell in love with a cold blooded, killer."

"He's not-!" The back of her head slammed against the wall again.

"HE IS! And you know it!"

It threw her back on the floor. This time, she probably wasn't going to get up. The shadow carefully backed up a few steps, tears streaming down it's face, while her hands went to her heart and mouth. "You care more about a child that'll never know you and a murderer, than our own sister."

Holiday grunted against the floor, trying and failing to rise again. The shadow stayed back, shaking and crying. "She-... She was thirteen. And you keep her trapped in that body, locked in a cage, with no hope in sight... You waste your time, breath, and energy on these people that will never matter. That'll never remember you. That'll never care. He's never going to care... Ever.... How could you?"

Holiday coughed again, blood coming up that time. She took in a few haggard breaths, trying to push away what this thing was telling her. "You're wrong," she coughed, trying to steady her voice, "Bev wouldn't-... Beverly wouldn't want me to-"

"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS!?," the thing roared, skin ripping apart, showing the monster inside. It's eight legs thundered against the floor, the spider-like body rising up. One of it's sharp legs darted for her.

Holiday pushed her arm against the floor, rolling out of immediate danger, but a long cut managed to make itself known across her stomach, from her hip to her ribs. She took in a sharp breath of cold air, watery eyes looking up to the monster that was now right over her. It growled and snarled. "Beverly." It brought another leg down, piercing right through her body.

She didn't scream. Only gasped at the pain. She felt the jerk of her body, as it pulled it's leg out of her body. She couldn't see or do anything. She couldn't move or breath. Things quickly started going dark.

Muffled sobs were heard from the darkness.

((ooc: tl;dr. I love you all... Don't kill me. Also, Cy, I know I said tonight, but I couldn't wait.))
