So yeah, it's update time! Prepare for spamming from me about a lot of stuff.
Me
I'm doing ok, but my allergies are REALLY acting up. Why? Because mother nature was all like "Heheheh....FUCK YOU GUYS!!! IT'S SPRING TIME BITCHES, SO HAVE SOME POLLEN!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" (and yes, the caps are needed for that statement.) There is so much pollen all over the place, that things (tops of cars, sidewalks, our balconies, etc) have started turning neon green. X.x bleghhh. Other than that I am ok.
Classes
I have a weird schedule this quarter, but so far it is working out.
Tuesday/ thursday
11-1:30 - Creative Copywriting
5-7:30 - Vector and Raster graphics
8-10:30 - Digital page and Web design
So, I have all of my classes on the same day AND vector/ raster graphics and Digital page are back to back AND taught by the same professor. Luckily, I like both of my professors. My creative copywriting prof is a bit of a hippy, and makes his own sound effects as he lectures. So that class is cool. My other professor is a bit harsher, but only because we have late classes. He isn't going to give us any breaks on late work but meh. Otherwise he is actually a pretty cool guy.
Oh, and on another school note, I may be changing my major. Not to anything too big, just switching my major and minor. However, this is a very big maybe. I'm still not sure and I have to talk to a lot more people.

We saw The Last Mimsy too, and it was really cute! Not the best movie ever, but still really cute. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Ok, if you haven't been watching Discovery Channel's special, Planet Earth, YOU SHOULD BE!!! IT. IS. AMAZING!!! It's just another reason why I want to work for Discovery Channel at some point.
Next friday there is going to be a massive battle in Forcyth (sp?) Park. A bunch of people from SCAD got together and actually got Savannah's permission to have this big battle in the park, and then used facebook to let everyone know about it. You are basically only allowed to have or make weapons and armor out of foam, paper, or cardboard. Also there are a bunch of other rules so that people won't kill each other. Now, most of the school is all a buzz about what is going to happen. So yeah, I will be there on friday, and hopefully put up pictures and stuff afterwards.

All of this is is from my drawing for design class. I hated this class with a passion. The course was all about drawing things in 3 demential space, and showing all sides of whatever we were drawing. Guess what? I sucked at it. But I had to do it any way. ^.^0 so, here is the crapyness from that class.
Project #1= Create a cube that you had taken pieces out of.

Project #5= Go to the mighty 8th air force museum and draw one of the planes you see there.

These are from my typography class, which I had much more fun in. ^.^

For this project, we had to create 4 different letters that were different enough that they could be from different fonts. After we created the roughs by hand, we had to scan them in and recreate the letter in illustrator. However, our professor wanted the copies to be EXACT, mistakes and all. The hand made versions are on the left, while the computer rendered versions are on the right.

We had to do a layout that highlighted someone that inspired us. Then we had to make their entire face out of type. I chose Ze Frank, because he is awesome. (If you don't know of his awesomeness, then go http://www.zefrank.com/ or http://www.zefrank.com/theshow/ to learn of the greatness that is Ze. ^.^ )

This is our final in that class, which I had to do with a partner. We had to pick a topic that could be broken in to 3 ides/topics and then create a poster around them. My partner was really cool to work with, and we chose to deal with tattooing. Our major focus was to make people think about the negative stereotypes and connotations associated with tattoos, and realize that those ideas are no longer valid. I like what we came up with, but I do think we could have pushed it a lot further and done better. However, we didn't have that much time, and EVERYTHING was fucking up as we were making it. So, considering time and mess ups, we did really well.
