I thought and still think the ad is wonderful. I think you should keep it in your portfolio. I definitely don't think you should leave it out because of these people.
That's so unfair! i understand that it WOULD be taken the wrong way so close to this event but it's a bloody professional quality ad. fuck it man, keep it in your portfolio. If anyone asks tell them it was made before the event. It's a bloody brilliant ad and, yes, there were some profs killed but they weren't the target anyways, Just innocent by-standards.
People hate being reminded of tragedies, especially right when it happens by things made right before it. Reminds me of the original Spiderman movie trailer- the one with the web between the two towers. Though i know that was a bit more understandable- it was still a really cool trailer. And a such shame they didn't do with it.
By the time you're showing off your portfolio- it will be a thing of the past. And it doesn't matter- if it's good, it's good. I say keep it as well. And let's see how time treat things. And so what if you can't enter this year for a competitions- there is always next year. Perhaps you should talk to your teacher about it, but if you don't want to- that's ok too.
