Things I Am Going to Do This Weekend

1. Plant Mums
Last year I bought them late and just left them sitting in their little cardboard pots until they died. This year I am going to actually plant them, love them and take care of them properly.

2. Clean ALL My FloorsMy vaccuum isn't really working properly, which is an issue, but in the meantime, I ( Read more... )

Thanks! I realized after I posted that it's a bit silly to be planning my weekend on a Tuesday, but... well, there it is. Gives me something to look forward to.

8. If you go the pie direction (and like maple), I make a mean Maple Pumpkin Pie. Essentially, you substitute maple syrup (or maple sugar, if you can find it) for some of the sugar. It just gives it that extra kick.

Also, yay for running and baseball and a full TiVo.

That sounds really good. I don't think I'm going to make pie this time around (in part I want to have something to give to my neighbors that I can also take into work), but I will keep that in mind...

Anytime!

Though we'll see how peaceful this weekend is... and how much I actually get done.

Your weekend sounds delightful.

Also, words cannot express how excited I am to eat pumpkin-y things again. I love me some autumn.

Yay for your running! The jump from 2.3 to 3.1 is really not that bad. Step it up a few tenths at a time, make sure you're running strongly before you move up to the next level, and then back off just a little on the pacing when you add length. You'll be there in no time! (This is coming from a 1.4 person. I have two months to ramp that up to 3.1. And to get closer to the pace I want.)

I believe there might be some kind of pumpkin backlash happening in the world, but I will not participate. I love pumpkin.

I am going to shoot for 2.5 tonight. Maybe more. It all depends how I feel. I think when it gets a bit cooler out, I'll be able to go even farther. The good news is there no real reason for me to hurry myself along. I can truly go at my own pace in terms of training.
