So I am riding in the car right now.We are on the way back from a day trip to bellingham. I recently got a new cell phone and have discovered that it handles interwebs pretty well. I was doing a bit of browsing when it struck me, this bargin deal cell phone loads pictures quicker and has a -much- better resolution than the 386 that my family used

Ah, computer memories. We had a 486 from about 7th grade until my junior year in high school. And then we got a fake Pentium II equivalent, which was totally rad. I think it was a Cyrix.

ah yes, when we upgraded it was amazing.

The 386 was a lovely Packard Bell and I can do a mean impersonation of it's boot up noises, complete with the sound effects of the dot matrix printer warming up.

I remember spending 15+ minutes downloading a large Smashing Pumpkins band photo and how terrible it looked in its blobby 16 bit form.
