I wonder if there are that many short wave radios left.

Kudos to Elon Musk!

A lot of Eastern Europeans had shortwave receivers for listening to Voice of America and other broadcasters, probably still have them tucked away. And I think one of the BBC broadcasts was on the fringe of the AM band.

I understand that Abramovich has already received an offer of £3 billion for Chelsea football club and has allegedly said he will donate the funds to Ukraine 🇺🇦. Good if it’s true.

I was reading more about his selling, and saw that offers were being made not just on the club but also on all his houses in England/UK. And he's going to forgive the loans that he made to Chelsea FC. I do really like his announced plan to give it all to a Ukrainian charity, but I can't imagine Putin likes it as much as we do!

His entanglements with Putin and all his charity make for a curious contrast and a very complex person.

I'm not a fan of Tesla - plus, he bought Tesla, didn't start it from the ground up like a lot of people think. His solar panel/battery company is not doing well, like Tesla, which has a vastly over-inflated valuation. I really don't like the satellite internet company because he's throwing so many satellites up into orbit that it's screwing up astronomy! Vested interested here.

SpaceX, on the other hand, total respect. He's smashing the shit out of Boeing, Lockheed, etc. All the old contractors needed to be grabbed by the throat and to be rattled thoroughly. And he personally is not a 'rags to riches' story, his dad owned a gem mine in Africa. He's a 'riches to vast riches' story. Emeralds, IIRC. There's an oft-mentioned story of not being able to close the safe because there was too much cash in it.

WOW, I was not a fan before, and all this information that I did not know before, is definitely not helping his cause. :o :o :o
As far as I am concerned, he's always been a lot of PR BS. :o
