The Los Angeles metro area is on fire, and fire hydrants are drying up
Three wildfires have erupted in the greater LA metro area driven by the Santa Ana winds, which has registered gusts of up to 99 MPH. Fire fighters are doing their best, but over a thousand structures have been lost in Pacific Palisades alone, and at least two people have died. These are untouched negative scans, I haven't had time to do any work in Photoshop on 'em yet. My next purchase for that camera will be a red filter and a polarizer! Somewhere I have a 77mm polarizer, I think, but I'm not sure where it is right now...

One of my first RB67 photos!

Russet worked the nights of the 24th and 25th, last night we had a big dinner at the observatory. Because of a snow fall and no weather warm enough to melt it, telescope close conditions were really tight and the telescope was closed most of the night because of snow on top of the dome ( Read more... ) -
