We already have 'The Universal Law of Batman Infallibility' and a rehash of John Stewart in Cosmic Odyssey in issue 1. I flipped through Flashpoint but had no idea what was going on.
I didn't pick up either, because Geoff Johns is just an awful writer. Blackest Night was the last chance I gave him and he came up with 'All life in the universe started on Earth and oh yeah, the Guardians have basically done nothing in their entire history that wasn't intended to be deceitful, manipulative and came back to bite them in the ass'.
Allow me to save you a TON of time and frustration.
"The History of Heroes was split into three to weaken the universe to prepare for their coming - now you must help merge them into one..."
The three? Vertigo, Wildstorm and DC mainstream.
The result? Imagine if Jim Lee did Stormwatch with DC characters. Oh, and since we actually already did that with parodies of DC characters (remember - Wildstorm?) and since we like some of them - let's just keep them. What? Doesn't make sense? Doesn't EVERYONE want 'gay couple' Superman and Batman in the same universe as straight Superman and Batman?
Oh.. forgot - remember Barry Allen - the definition of 'the good guy' who would never do anything bad? Well, you know that entire Flashpoint mess that was obviously Reverse Flash's fault - as they led us to believe with the huge arrows pointing at him?
Wrong. It's all Barry's fault.
If you can't see how that's even faintly possible given the story we have? Don't sweat it. There is NO way anyone could have seen it coming. It literally made no sense.
