Urania is the Greek Muse of astronomy and the stars. Usually depicted with a globe or an astrolabe in hand, she is able to predict the future by the arrangements of the stars. As the eldest of the divine Muses, Urania has inherited Zeus's majesty and Mnemosyne's power, beauty, and grace. She wears a cloak embroidered with stars, and keeps her attention focused on the heavens; those who embrace philosophy and the skies above are dear to her. She was there at the moment of the creation of the Universe and is the deity invoked when one wishes to speak of any sort of sky-related event. She wears a golden hairband made from stars.

Theia is the goddess of the great wide sky, of everything that shines and glitters. She is the daughter of Gaia and Uranus, and gave birth to Helios, the sun. She is often paired with her brother Hyperion, and with him bore three children: Helios (the sun), Selene (the moon) and Eos (the dawn). One of her epithets is "mild-eyed Theia, the far-shining one". In her honor, men honor gold as more powerful than anything else; she is said to bestow value and honor upon conquests, and to grant valor to the victors of contests of arms. She assimilated many other mother-of-the-sun goddesses and also general mother-figures such as Rhea and Cybele. Theia was also apparently a female aspect of the protogenos Aither, the bright upper air, or shining blue sky. Again, a suitable role, for a daughter of Heaven, and mother of the Sun, Moon and Dawn.
Theia is also the name of the hypothetical planet which collided with the earth, creating the moon.
