Another job interview at a decent restaurant, one where I could enjoy my job. And another phone call telling me that they have decided to go into a different direction, but that they'll keep my resume on file in case something else opens up. After she told me that she liked me and that I presented well

*hug* I'm sorry hon. What I keep telling myself is, it's a down economy and there are eighteen million other people competing for the same job I am.

I have a really good friend that's a store manager of a chain that has a location in Chicago. I used to work for him when I managed at Boston Market. I'd be happy to give him your resume if you want. It's quick service, not sit down like Marigold's, for example, but at the very least he could probably give a few pointers or maybe even have a couple friends in higher-scale establishments.
