I just got an email about interviewing for a dream job in Indiana. Problem is, I don't want to move to Indiana. It's only 1 1/2 hours from Louisville, but moving would mean so many things. I'd have to leave my family and my wonderful friends, my home, and I'd almost certainly have to break up with Andrew b/c there's no way he could move even if he ( Read more... )

What kind of job emails you about an interview? It doesn't even sound right to me, wait for the job that is interested enough to call you!

I changed my number, remember? It's the only way they had to get ahold of me. They have my old resume'.

Yeah, but you can't prove that they tried to call your old number even if they said they did! And even so, nothing is as good as it sounds when it comes to these kinds of jobs. Where did they get your resume? If you say anything other than a personal reference then I'll guarantee you that they sent out hundreds of emails for the same job.

My school has a Graduate Employment Service. That's where they got it. And anyway, they need someone post-haste and I can't go until March, so, it's not an issue anymore, I guess. =(

what kind of dreamjob is this? Is it one that sounds like a lot of fun or is it one that has a future in longevity and stability?

If it's the latter of the two, it's always worth checking into.

I'll be the first to say, long distance relationships suck, but they can be done. If you read my blog anymore, you know I'm in love with a girl who had to move 21 hours away. We're making it work.
*hugs*

Brady, it's both. And while I understand that a long distance thing may work for you and your woman, I don't think my bf is even willing to TRY anything like that...which sounds mean, but that's just the way it is, I guess. ::shrug::

I'm just so confused all the time. :/ Call me?
