News, the first: Finished dead last (out of 10) in foil today. I think. Results not posted yet. Not surprising considering it's my secondary weapon and there hasn't been foil class in about a month and a half

Congratulations on second! Nothing to sneeze at. You haven't been doing this all that long (this latest time, at least - you fenced in the past at some point?), and lots of movement/coordination activities take a lot of practice to really click in. It's been fun to read your progress!

Actually, the end of July will be two years involved with fencing. That's the entire length of time I've really spent since I'm not counting using car antennas while I was a kid or poking about with friends before I knew the sport rules.
