i am overcome by an overwhelming sense of... gravity. its like.. the real world has finally beckoned me towards its dreaded doors. its not just the prelims, not just the a levels, its the fact that i am growing up. i will soon be my own man. i can no longer define and demarcate my life like i have always done, for perhaps.. much too many things.

You always sound so different and thoughtful on your LJ (and yet incorrigibly like yourself). It is always weird reading your posts how true they are, and how ... sharply contrasted with what you talk about in real life (e.g. Amanda Chong's hypothetical steamy Cambridge Law romance). LOL.

Anyway what I am trying to say, insultingly, is, good post. Is this your resolution of the FATALISTIC DETERMINISM of your last entry? Anyway I totally agree. Especially with the last bit. hahahha i am usually very thoughtful and the things i say are actually ALWAYS full of meaning. it is the unobservant you that has not realised my emotional complexity and depth.

hahah actually my point wasnt that. my point was that the christian god obviously didnt want those wars to happen. i dont know the background... but the fact remains that they fought over the same god.

they fought over the same God meaning his identity? as in one side alleges he's Allah and the other, God? i think it's actually more of everything else as well..conflicting ideologies and whatnot. but well it isnt only this what. every religion has its own internal conflicts within itself, like christianity having different sectors like baptism, anglican, protestant, etc but at the end of the day i think it all boils down to the reason that nothing really can be proven by hard facts in religion because its core is faith (which is invisible and its effects are constantly being put down by critics), and everything revolves around faith. so what's important for the christians is not how you set about assessing facts and trying to win over the other side to prove your point, it's how you live the life of love that Jesus advocates and is all about.
