Someone right outside my window is playing, loud enough for me to hear, the kind of music my mom used to play all the time ( Read more... )

no, I can totally do it, but the 50s bubblegum stuff hurts my soul. I can think of a few bubble-gummy things I can do tho.

I DO occasionally listen to The Bee Gees and Air Supply, or the easy listening from the 70s... lol. Actually I listen to The Bee Gees a fair amount, but not the stuff on Saturday Night Fever soundtrack because I was browbeaten with that!

It's not like I've paid top dollar for this stuff, you know? I am at heart a librarian. the problem with that kind of stuff is tho, if my windows are open, I really don't want to torture the neighbors with my singing along...

I can't find it on youtube right now, but I know I UB burned me a DVD of when Justin Timberlake was on SNL. did you ever see him and Jimmy Fallon do "The Barry Gibb Talk Show"? it was on the same show with that Color Me Badd parody "**ck in a box". really really, that show has got to be one of the 10 best in their 30+ year history.

anywho, got tons of stuff to do. at least it's raining yay. and yes, I mean that.

I need a break from today's ass-hattery. I shall work on this tonight. I'm almost thankful to have a totally stupid task to do. well, you know what I mean.

the traffic was horrid, I didn't make it to the post office today, sowwy. but yay, it's total candle-burning all over the place weather.

signed,
only happy when it rains.

Whatever mindrtist hasn't got, I likely do, so if you're looking for a particular song and/or artist, just ask.

For example, your Mom used to love (Frankie Valli and) The Four Seasons. I now gots all of their stuph. But, I remember in the '60s getting in trouble for listening to her FV&t4S vinyl LPs.

I can't really think of specifics. It's more that the rock/love/cheesy ballads of the (late 60's to late 70's?) a) make me nostalgic and b) are actually really fun for me to listen to. THis also goes for Billy Joel and such.

When I mentined this to one of my roommates, he and I went on a goofy old songs singing spree.

Lol, as another youngest child, I laugh at my mom getting mad at you for listening to her music. I knew better than to touch Marnie's stuff without express permission. But her permission tended to be long diatribes on how to care for a CD.

If I think of anything, I'll let you know. Thanks!!

I have sent you, in an e-mail, a list of the contents of my iPhone and my wife's iPod. Not the actual mp3's, just a list of 'em. That way, if you want something, you'll know if we have it. And, even if what you want is not on the list, I still may have it on CD, cassette, or even vinyl, so please ask anyway.
