Last week I had to do a trail preview for work.
It was drizzling, kind of raining on and off, but I wanted more experience with hiking in bad weather anyway and I figured getting that without a troop of kids along for the ride would be a good idea. Because I have a lot on my mind, I decided not to invite anyone along and just go for a nice 8 mile

I need to check the name, but a friend of mine interviewed for a company in Golden (near Denver) recently and it seems they're opening an SF office. It's some kind of Outdoor adventure group that gets inner-city kids out into the wilderness. Of course, I immediately thought of you, your outdoor skillz, and your job hunt. Congrats on surviving Epic Trail, Epic Rain and getting an Epic Job. Yay you!

So please, do forward on that info to me. That wold be great! Those jobs are never full time anyway. And neither is the one I just got (assuming reference check goes as planned). It's half-time, so will pay the bare minimum bills, and I'm continuing to work for the parks, but I'm always looking for more awesomeness to add to the awesome already in my life.
How's your own jobbyness going?

My own jobyness = ongoing fail. I've half heartedly been looking in Bay Area, but CA unemployment is so damn high. Pooooooop. I miss it there. =(

But, well, my boss was expecting me to get something done and I didn't want to disappoint out of wimpiness.
And besides, it was so much effort and time and gas and such just to get out there!
And I learned a lot. Which I knew I would.
It was actually nice to have external factors to "make" me do it.
If people can climb Everest, I can certainly handle a 5 mile hike in the rain.
But yeah, it's amazing the huge difference in my mood between the moments it was raining on me and the moments it wasn't. So I'm kind of a wimp for discomfort too.
