Someone else mentioned Die Hard slash earlier, but for the life of me I can't remember who it was. Must be the latest thing going around, I guess.

It is a very good thing that's going around. I find it interesting. There's no real subtext in the first three movies. For the first time, John McClane is paired off with someone that could almost validly be paired off with. And it makes sense, at least it does in my warped, slasher's mind.
