I'm cleaning up my act...

So, yesterday I deposited two weeks worth of paychecks in the bank. I hadn't had the time and couldn't find a branch of my bank close enough to go during my lunch break. Turns out I just wasn't looking hard enough, because there was one just two or three blocks away. Decided to check my balance when I got home and I realized something ( Read more... )

Which one? LOL, Collin and I went out once and then we never really talked again. And I went out with Tony, promptly freaked at the sentimentalism he displayed, but we talked, everything's cool, and we're going out today if the weather doesn't beat us over the head. It's all good, I guess.

If you need books, check out ABE books :) Or Used book stores. Thats what I'm turning to instead of paying full retail. I know I can't curtail my reading, so at least I'm being thrifty about it :D *cough* although I seem to be getting more books instead of spending less... hmmm

Thanks for the suggestion! I also use paperback swap on occasion. They're a good site if you want books for practically nothing. The idea is that you post books you want to get rid of. When someone places an order for one, you send it to them, free of charge. All you need to pay is postage. Then, when they receive the book, they say so on the site and you get a credit. You can use that credit to order a book from someone else, who will send it to you for free! Honestly, all you pay is postage, it's pretty cool.

For me, though, my passion is DVDs, so that can be problematic. But, I figure, I can just make a list of ones I want so that, when the time comes, I can choose which to buy as sparingly as possible. For now, though, I just need to keep my itchy hands in my pockets and out of my wallet, lol.

Remember that someday you will have more money, and the same old DVDs, comics and collectibles will likely still be around. In fact, in the case of the DVDs, they may be cheaper.

I hardly use my money for anything except rent, food, and the occasional day out. It was tough at first, but a cinch once I looked at my belongings and realized just how many unread books and unwatched movies I have to merrily wade my way through already.

Yeah, that's how I'm going to look at it. I have SO MUCH STUFF that I haven't watched or read, that it's probably best anyway to just go through that before buying MORE stuff, you know?

Comic con weekend, though, that's an anything goes situation, there. I will have absolutely no restraint, lol.

You sound just like me, lmao. Only, I'm too cheap to buy shit I really want. I'm addicted to clearance.

*hangs head in shame*

Good luck!

I love clearance! I'm just too impatient most of the time to wait until something I want gets there, lol.

Thanks much!
