What is the creative spark?
The stuff of writing takes place in everyone's minds, but is mostly unsuitable for print. There are many reasons for this; human thought is often undisciplined, rampant and blurry. It is difficult for us to be succinct and compelling in the form of writing.

damn but don't i often feel something that feels kind of similar: that my expressions when being creative or trying to just isn't doing something justice, and that if people would look at it, they'll see the thing i created but not what i was /trying/ to be -- but they'll think the thing i created is a good reflection of /me/. but it isn't! it's indicative of a Try, a Process ( ... )

Anyway, I guess I just am trying to develop a mind that thinks at length, is precise but has great latitude, and structured enough to put the right strings of words together to express those ideas that swirl powerful but unseen inside me.

i myself have all but given up, for the next few years at least, of trying to be precise/sturctured, but those who CAN have a mind that you mention here that you're trying to develop -- man, THOSE people, i like to think, can take the incredible depth and latitude and power of all these swirling wisps, and shape and form and manifest them into REALLY COMPELLING AND INSPIRING F-CKING CREATIONS in this real world!
