Hello, Internet! I have recently been thoroughly delighted by one of my finds from the Garden District Book Shop, "Intimate Enemies: The Two Worlds of Baroness de Pontalba". Haha, several people have sent me that. If I tried it, though, everyone who knew me would be all "WTF is going on, why are you wearing... that... this is a setup, isn't it? Where's the camera?".

Ha! I thought you'd like that one. The author was my first landlady in New Orleans. She lives in a re-purposed church.

Small fantastic world! [grin] Apparently she also wrote a book on the Czech Resistance to the Nazis that I'm going to read next (since George Washington Carver isn't out for another month or two). Did you like her writing as much as I did?
