Have you read Peter Hopkirk's book `The Great Game: The Struggle for Empire in Central Asia' ? The writing style feels a bit dated, but in general it's just a fascinating read that you might enjoy.

I haven't, and it looks like I would. Once I'm done "Swimming to Antarctica" I'll put it on my library queue!

Thanks For The Feedback sounds very useful; I'll have to check that one out. Thanks!

Hey, totally off-topic: I have a question, which may seem silly, but I promised I'd ask:

One of my folk is trying to get a teaching job in Japan. She has lately been having some health problems, but she's afraid to do a search on her symptoms because she thinks her prospective employers might be able to find out that she's been researching health problems online, and then they won't hire her because she might be a poor health risk.

She believes that Google tracks everything she searches because when she searches for one thing, Google then offers her other similar things. She has the notion that a prospective employer can review all her online activity with a push of a button.

Please, would you mind Explaining?
