I've also read that he has since declined the project. There were rumors ever since about five months after W:O opened up, and then confirmed, but I've also heard that he ditched the project.

I don't know I missed the news until now, but apparently his attachment was back and forth for a while. But the most recent news I found on it is only 9 days old, so it looks secure for now. Unless Aronofsky pulls more shit like he did with the first run of The Fountain, and gets it canned on the cusp of production.
