I checked my odometer on my bike today..... I've only put on 621miles since the middle of May when I reset it.. that's only about 60 miles a week... pathetic. I need to pick up the pace if I'm going to meet my riding goal of 1K for this year. I suppose I could just do it by planning to do a couple of centuries while I'm unemployed

I'd like to say that as someone who routinely runs miles in about 10 minutes (if and when you can convince her to run, which is a feat itself), reading that I'm all like "you go!"
Also, this girl will be doing a marathon in a couple years. Specifically, the year I turn 30. W/a friend who's been running marathons for the last few years. But you did this alone which begs me to ask--how did you stay motivated?

Yeah, sorry I didn't realize you had put me on the friends list.. hell I didn't even realize how to use the friends list since they changed it. :P
Yeah.. 10 minute mile to me = a pretty good time! hah
Shudders at the thought of running for 360 minutes straight(hehe)
How did I stay motivated? I'm a creature of habit, I don't mind repetition.
So I would go to Lake Calhoun/Harriet/Isles and do laps like crazy until I reached my mile quota, I would bike into work 15 miles. Just put things into my daily routine that made me do the time and miles. Which now.. I'm a lazy slug.. reading back on the post makes me dream of 168lb days.....
AAANYHOW..

Three cheers for being a lazy slug! Except I was never really all that active to start with! And the last time I was that small was because I had mono which made me puke every time I ate! So, I guess, three cheers for being who we're meant to be--rather than working out 3 hours a day? I'll drink to that.
