Summary: Then, out of the corner of his eye, Jonghyun sees the camera change its focus from him and Kibum.

He grins as he looks into the younger's eyes, all feline and coy and Jonghyun's tempted to bite away the remaining bit of pocky separating their lips and Kibum looks willing - inviting even. But Jonghyun knows better, by now Jonghyun knows perfectly well that what Kibum looks like he wants and what he actually wants are not one and the same. So when Kibum takes another bite into the pocky, shortening the length of the snack stick by half Jonghyun's eyes widened in the slightest. He doesn't know if he should bite into the snack one last time or just wait for Kibum to do something else. Kibum just smiles wider, as if he heard the elder's thoughts, looking at Jonghyun with all that wonderful, God forsaken confidence and now Jonghyun feels confused.
So he lunges forward, stopping a few inches away from Kibum's face just to see his reaction but the blond doesn't even flinch, he just keeps up that smile that was spreading to his eyes. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Jonghyun sees the camera change its focus from him and Kibum to someone else and in that same moment Kibum bit the pocky, breaking it and sucking it into his mouth before pressing a kiss to Jonghyun, slipping his tongue into the elder's mouth and pulling the bit of pocky into his own because Kibum knows Jonghyun hates sweets.
And Jonghyun's shocked and more confused than before because Kibum was the one who said they can't and then they both agreed that they won't. But Kibum just did, just crossed the line he himself had set and Jonghyun's perfectly fine with that, happy even as he watches Kibum smirk and saunter off to pamper and shower Taemin with the affection the maknae needs from his hyung. Jonghyun wasn't as confused now because he felt as though Kibum told him something with that smirk and Jonghyun and Kibum had always had this strange, silent way of understanding each other. So Jonghyun decided that later, when they were done with this fan meeting, he would ask Kibum again and he had a feeling he would get the answer he was originally hoping for because he wanted to know, wanted to reassure himself that whatever relationship he and Kibum had didn't exist only in front of the camera.
Because Jonghyun knows they both need more than that.
