i am so tired. i was at the farm from 8 this morning until 5. and then i had to do evening hosting (aka my lame ass job) from 6 until 8. i was a pretty bad host, i hope they dont complain and then i get fired or something.... plus i took them to see bernadine dohrn who was speaking on cmapus tonight. they wanted to go, so i cannot be held

What is trueing wheels?

when your wheels are out of true it means that the rims aren't smooth all the way around. um kind of hard to explain without of visual. it essentially means that some of the spokes are too loose and others too tight and it makes for an harder ride, and often the brake pads rub on the rim. so i had to use a special truing stand with calipers to find when there were bumps in the rim, and the tighten and loosen the spokes accordingly. it took about an hour to do my front wheel. but it was fun. i like doing persnickety things.
