Didn't do much yesterday except run some errands. Took out Harry Potter: SS & CoS, bought 2 weights for my future endeavors, and bought a Father's Day card and a birthday card for my sister. Worked from 8 to 12 at night ( Read more... )

I just got done blazing through all 5 Harry Potter books. I <3 them all.

Ditto! They're great. The first two are cute, though it's not until you read the third when you're absolutely hooked. The Prisoner of Azkaban and the two that follow after are my absolute favorite. ^^

Finished Sorceror's Stone this afternoon and started on Chamber of Secrets. I'm surprised at some of the changes made in the movies.

Yeah, me too. Even though it is difficult to transpose a book to a movie, some of those scenes or characters could have easily appeared on the screen. Ever notice that Potions class is almost always cut out of the movies? And those are some of the best scenes, too!!

Yeah. I'm sure they just took them out because they all just show the conflict between Harry and Snape. Same with a bunch of other scenes. I suppose they easily add up to valuable time after a while.

Yes, but Rowling never writes about anything in her novels unless they contribute something to the plot. As a result, whenever a scene is cut out, something else in the movie has to be changed to meet the same result as the book. I heard my older sister saying this, but didn't realize it until I read the novels and found the differences between the two.
