I agree mostly with your FF7 thoughts. I can't say I actually remember enough of the game to tell very well, but generally I think that's where I'm going.

*spoilers*
I don't quite remember--if the SOLDIER people were simply people infused with mako, and Sephiroth was actually infused with Jenova cells, then maybe the Sephiroth-clones were others like him and not simply SOLDIERs. Perhaps they just didn't show up because they're rather younger. Of course, I remember being confused about SOLDIER people even directly after I played the game, so whatever. Bleh. At this rate, I'm going to have to play it again >:o.

The Sephiroth clones weren't SOLDIERs, they were the guys in the black robes that could barely move. The only one that was successful was Cloud, or so we think. Maybe no one knew that the 3 SHGs were successes as well.

Heh. I'm driving down and taking a plane back up, as long as my ride is getting there early enough. Which hopefully is the case because now that it's less than two weeks away, the plane tickets went up to $80.
