Believers Never Die, Part Deux

Apr 16, 2009 15:41

Pictures from the Believers Never Die Part Deux tour in Sacramento, on April 8th. Not dial-up friendly, although I did resize the pics from the originals. They're still big.

All the pictures were taken by my friend Raelyn. I'm one of those people who prefers to be right in the moment and not take pictures, but Raelyn's really short and can't see the stage, ever, so she takes pictures so that she can see what's going on.

Hey Monday played first.

They were pretty good. Cassadee's cute, but she needs to learn to enunciate. I couldn't understand a word of what she was singing. And I felt kind of bad, because she wanted the crowd to sing a part of their first single (the name of which I can't remember), but not very many people knew it and the crowd was pretty quiet, and she was just like, "Alright," and finished the song herself.

Metro Station was next.

Metro Station will never not make me laugh. Trace Cyrus tries so hard to be a badass, and I just wanna pat him on the head and tell him that trying so hard is cancelling out all his efforts. He made sure to cuss between each song. After every song he threw his bass into the air for his tech to catch. I felt bad for his tech, he's gotta be the hardest working guy on the tour. About halfway through the set, he traded in his short sleeved t-shirt for a long sleeved flannel shirt. Uh, Trace, honey, that's not gonna help you cool off, even if you do leave it unbuttoned. I spent their whole set giggling.

What's up with their keyboard player's hair? I'm guessing he's a Flock of Seagulls fan, stuck in the wrong decade.

The flannel. Trace, you're kind of an idiot.

All Time Low played third. We didn't get too close, because I like All Time Low, but I'm not a huge fan. Also, I don't feel the urge to laugh at them, because they're actually good. Their speakers said "Muff Dive" which cracked me up.

And, a video of "Poppin' Champagne"

Cobra Starship time! We really went to the concert for them and FOB, so we have the most pics of those two.

Gabe was out dicking around on bass before the show started. He played a little bit of a Midtown song too.

Alex from All Time Low sang William Beckett's part on "Bring It"

And, a video of "Smile For The Paparrazi"

Finally, Fall Out Boy. (I have no commentary here, I was too excited.)

Joe was suprisingly stealthy. It was hard to get a good pic of him.

I think this is the one picture that I took. People's heads were in the way and Raelyn couldn't get a good shot.

Andy was hard to get pics of too, but that's just because of where we were and him being further back on the stage. Stupid drummers.

No pictures from the encore, because someone was smoking pot in the crowd and the smell makes Raelyn really nauseous, so she didn't stay for it.

Overall, an amazing birthday present to myself.

fall out boy are my favorites, concerts, cobra starship let me stalk them
