Of Negativity and New Toys

I've been accused pretty often of being a negative person. At one point I believed it but not so much now. As I've grown older, more introspective, I have a much better understanding of the person that I am and I recognize I may be critical to a fault but it's not the same thing as negative. I probably analyze things too damn much but I'm trained

I never used the word "horribly" baby. I wasn't trying to be dismissive about your comments regarding the one family member, but you do make assumptions about people not liking you. Not just people you know, but people in a store, in a restaurant, etc. Remember what happened at Guitar Center? You wanted to leave right away because you assumed the two sales guys were laughing AT you. It turns out, the guys were really nice and helpful and the reason they were laughing was because they thought you looked like Zach Galifianakis! And you know you do ;) You sometimes feel like you get weird looks from people, so I feel that you translate those "looks" into something negative when the person actually meets you. You've mentioned that you had a rough time with people being negative when you were growing up, so I think it's natural that you still feel that people continue to be the same way. The truth is you're a handsome, intelligent and funny guy and you can hold a conversation with anyone! What's not to love???? :D

Well, as I've said before, I notice a particular trend going on. It COULD be other things or it could be what I think it is.

Now, on the Guitar Center thing...the guys WERE laughing AT me, as I had thought...so I wasn't wrong in that regard...so I'm in a store, two people that are working there aren't helping me and are laughing at me...gee, what am I supposed to think. Thankfully we got great service and I turned out to be wrong but what I thought wasn't so out of line.
