This just in the Supreme Court of Canada has overturned the validity of the security certificate process. What does this mean to you? Suspected and known terrorists as well as threats to national security are set free from prison. One key word there. 'Suspected'. While I agree know terrorists should be held, or at the very least deported, I disagree about the risk of 'suspected' terrorists. I was always under the assumption that suspicious of a crime is does not make that person guilty.

I agree that the SCC should overturn the security certificate process. Holding someone with no trial and even no official charges laid is against the free-world beliefs. Anyone who is going to come and call me a hippy liberal I have two words for you.

Guantanamo Bay. Do you really want a Canadian equivalent?

ah yes, but its not like these things are issued left and right. i think its been something like 27 issued in the past 50 years.

so it all comes down to trust. do you trust the people that deal with terrorists and the people that spy on said terrorists 24 hours a day to know what they are talking about or no?

fair fair, but I just think that maybe someone should be checking up on these terrorist spies. Someone like a judge. In a court of law.
