I´m not so sure I agree about the kid stabbing the duck- kids CAN be malicious, look at those kids who stuck the other kid in the burning shed in Winnipeg, they said they didn´t know what they were doing but they aren´t stupid, they knew damn well what they were doing. But you´re right that parents should teach their kids to know better... but kids are still pretty clever and have every ability to be malicious. I swear, one of the little girls I´m taking care of right now is only 8 years old but I don´t trust her. She´s sweet, but she also looks for hard things to throw at her younger sister, and she has snooped around my room a bit trying to find letters that I´m writing to people. And her parents never showed her that
