The thing that fascinates me about Flash Forward
People know these cool little details about the future now. We know that the DRays are going to sweep the Red Sox early in the 2010 season. Does Vegas take those games off of the book? Do the Lakers' odds change now that everyone knows that Kobe pulls a ligament? Does the Senator with an ethics violation get preemptively impeached?
More importantly, what else is known? Maybe a Tigers fan was rewatching their World Series DVD again and is the only one who knows that they're about to win the series. I'm sure there were geeks online who were arguing about Dr. Who or comics or movies, and they come back to have tons of spoilers. Would anyone take any bet for the next 6 months? For that matter, imagine the epic trolling that could be done.
Open up PT and type "I flashforwarded to listening to the Halloween cover album set," and make up some awful album. People might believe you. Yeah yeah, life and death. It's just the obsessions that fascinate me.
Oh and I were the FBI agent, I would have put the friendship bracelet on the OTHER arm. Those things are impossible to take off without destroying them. No way it could be moved.
