I had a dream about taking the light rail from home to Seattle Center during Bumbershoot - it was messed up in many ways mind you because they refused to label the stops with anything sane and they let cars drive on the tracks - and while it's true that Light Rail isn't going to be within walking distance of my house and I'm cool with that, can

I beleive that there are plans on the table that would do so. The West Seattle to Ballard light rail would and there are a number of trolley options that have been mentioned that would as well.
