I should check my youtube bulletins more often

So, as usual, I seem to be coming in at the tail end of news. Youtube is supposedly deleting massive amounts of videos in September. How sad. I know its not the only place to go for videos (lol, MEGAVIDEO) but still, the massive amount of people on YT and just that odd sense of community and familiarity will be lost. Is there press on this

Hmm, yeah I also heard that about Youtube. They will delete all videos with copyright, I guess. Of course it's sad but otherwise, Youtube's quality sunk over the last few month. Dunno... probably it's the best to look for a new host. *g* Megavideo for instance ;)

Yeah, I've actually heard some pretty good things about megavideo (no matter how scary their spokesperson is). I suppose I'm a bit sad that its the end of an era for us Youtubers (lol, that makes it sound like a potato).

Although, I will find it such a daunting task to try and reupload all my vids. We shall see how it goes. :/

Yeah you're probably right. Especially you, who made tons of videos! I guess I'll only upload some of the vids I really like and my latest ones.
I tried to get into megavideo yesterday, but it didn't work for me. These people are so propagandistic. You can read on nearly every paige: 'Megavideo beats Youtube', it's horrible. So I guess I'm going to imeem. I saw that some people are already uploading their videos there, so it can't be that bad.

I just went to Megavideo to register, and it said my username was taken, so I thought "I wonder if I made an account some time ago, and it turns out I did, lol. Add another site to my list.

Lol, well I suppose its a good thing to have all your stuff backed up to as many sites as possible. I should sign up, if you already have a Megaupload account, can you use that?

I didn't save any of the articles (and I only read them yesterday) but if you Google 'Youtube September copyright 2007' you'll get a lot of articles that talk about it. Hope that helps!

Yeah, I googled it. I don't know, it all just seems so out of the blue. It also sounds as though this fingerprinting thing would work on incoming videos as opposed to the ones already on YT (though I skimmed most of the articles). I don't know, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. It is possible to live without Youtube, kind of like cell phones, we just have to remember what we did before that. =)

Together, megavideo and the vidders will take over the world. I'm pretty sure of that.

Yeah, I felt the same way. It sprung out of nowhere. I hope that it's just the incoming videos (if anything) because then everything on there would still be ok, but I'm sure that if they're going to check new videos, then they have to go through the old ones too.
And the only problem with your theory is that I don't remember what I did before cell phones, haha ;)

And we will DEFINITELY take over the world. We just need a leader. Feel like being a co-founder? :)
