last night the lady and i went to go see the black keys and they were absolutely AMAZING! A-MAZING! there should be more bands like them out there, two guys playing there music [ stripped down dirty blues ] as hard as they can. they could not have been better. i've heard by friends who have seen them that they are as good as they were last

chicago, what a great fucking place to hear good blues. the black keys, are they local? or do they have some stuff out there? and same questions on nate mayer? i know a lot of old black blues dudes, but not this one.

on that being old shit, i think the same way all the time. i'd rather buy a cd and a bottle of wine, than put up with the assholes out there. but you are right about once the music starts, it cures a lot of the bad shit.

either you have, or you have heard the black keys, i know i put it on when i was there last xmas, and i thought you had it, but maybe not...they are a duo, drums and guitar, and they're from akron, ohio.

they have 3 discs out, and if you do not own you need to own there first one--->"the big come up" and there third--->"rubber factory". there second is good, but not as good as these two...it'll knock your socks off!

natanial mayer is on the same record label as the keys, fat possum...also the same label as r.l. burnside, another bluse guy who's cd you have, i think i bought his cd for you last xmas or for something...he did a song for the sopranos, he's really good too. fat possum has all the old blues guys who have that real gritty dirty appeal, which makes them cool to young hipsters. shake it or everybodys will have all of these guys.
