Are you okay holding them until this Friday (January 14th)? I just had surgery and don't get paid until then. Awesome collection, by the way!

Awesome! And after closer inspection of my bank account, I can actually purchase those today! Hopefully that will make it easier to ship things in one fell swoop. The grand total appears to be $28? And is PayPal okay?

Hi, thanks for posting this to the community!

I would love:

Saint Augustine - Confessions - 5
The Anglo-Saxon World: an Anthology (includes Beowulf) - 5
Gregory the Great and His World - 10
The Song of Roland - 3

I believe that comes to $23, plus $5 shipping?

Awesome - I just transferred money into my paypal, which I rarely use, so is it ok if it's a couple days before I transfer it to you? I'm not too familiar with paypal, so lemme know if I can do it more quickly some other way. My paypal is kristenweg at gmail, when it comes through.

That's okay! It's been a long time since I set up my PayPal so I can't remember what you do to set up Instant Transfers. XD I don't mind waiting though.

Aw, thanks so much! Abelard & Heloise rock. Well, Heloise does anyway. Abelard's kind of a butthead.

I'll send you an invoice for $8.

Have you read Etienne Gilson's 'Heloise and Abelard'? Granted, everyone has their own view, but after I read it I kind of felt like Heloise was the butthead. At least, the one who had to lie in the bed she made! ... that idiom is weird.

But my kitten is named Abelard and he is a butthead.

I haven't read it! But well, I feel like you can't hold a teenaged girl to the same level of culpability as a supposedly adult male in a position of authority over her. As for decisions she made in her later adult life -- well, she was an interesting person. Her letters to Abelard are pretty fascinating and unusual reading. And I've often wondered about her relationship with her son -- that is, if she had much of one.

My problem Abelard is just how much of a narcissist he is.
