PGP III: Bride of PGP

What on my green earth is the problem with PGP? The last installation, when I posted here announcing a new PGP key, suddenly stopped working. It says that a network resource is missing. I don't have any network resources to have gone missing in the first place. Bah! Now I have reinstalled the software but my private keys are gone and I can't ( Read more... )

I would prefer to see us embrace the free, open source GPG instead of PGP.

No doubt but would that be the choice that would displease the majority the least? I don't think so.

I'm using GPG now, since I got a new computer a few months ago. I imported all my old PGP keys and it seems to work fine.

There was talk of an informal key signing party at Notocon which would be good if it comes together. It looks like most using it are not having their keys signed which defeats a lot of the security of PGP.
