I don't think a suit of metal would be a good idea. Even if you don't melt it, fire would make it too hot to touch, and you'd possibly still end up burning yourself.

Er. Still don't think it's a good idea. Filled with ice would be too cold for you normal-temp people. And eventually, especially around heat, the ice would melt into water, and the water would start to boil.
