An acute disease affecting both animals and humans, caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis. From the Greek, anthrakitis, coal, because of the black lesions on the skin of victims.

The bacillus can form inactive, dormant spores, which will preserve the existence of the virus for years. The spores can be reactivated and will then begin to multiply, quickly infecting their host.

Anthrax can be grown and used as a biological weapon. Theoretically, you would need very little special equipment and knowledge.
