Pushing off from the wall, she sneaks over to him silently and waits around a table for him to sit down with his food.]

[Kusanagi pauses halfway to the buffet. Something is wrong, but she can't pinpoint it beyond a whisper from her ghost. She sweeps the area with her eyes, an examination this time, instead of the cursory glance she'd given the room when she entered.]

[Celeste, who is crouching against the wall by the door, notices Motoko walk in and doesn't make a move. Common sense tells Celeste not to fuck with her at all, of course. She couldn't possible be looking for her. How would she know Celeste was even here, within a second of entering the buffet? Reason is telling the zombie that it's impossible, but as Motoko slowly turns enough to face her, she panics. That definitely is what she's doing, searching. Knowing that changes this situation quite a bit - a target that suspects you're there is different from one whose mind is occupied with retrieving a meal.

Normally she's far away enough for any normal person to not see her even if looking directly in her direction, but...

Instead, she falls back, hurrying back towards the entrance to the buffet and sliding against the wall out in the hallway beside the entrance. There's a possibility a tiny misstep was heard, or Motoko caught the back of her leg if she glanced; but this option was probably safer than staying in there to watch what she was doing.]
