So, tomorrow and Wednesday I'm attending Conventiculum Buffaloniense, the purpose of which is to teach and encourage us to communicate using spoken Latin. Since Latin is difficult to do with names that don't conform to its rules, the attendance list at tonight's welcome had given each participant a Latinized version of their own first name, which

What's the Latin version of Sarah, the name we didn't choose for you? And how many of those were there?

No Sarahs in the group. They probably would have just stuck with Sarah or Sara, since they were aiming more for keeping it Latinable, not necessarily historically close. There was a David who stayed David, since there were probably quite a few Davids (and Sarahs) in the Roman Empire, if not Rome itself.
