Failed Fairy Tales

You'd think that because I'm writing a story that has a lot of fairy tales in it, I'd remember how the fairy tales go. Not so.

Somehow at work, we got to discussing wearing clothes made out of cats. So I mentioned the fairy tale Catskin.

Similar to the Raven Brothers (but not precisely) is The Wild Swans (by Hans Christian Anderson). Have you ever read it? That's the one where the wicked stepmother turns the brothers into swans and the sister has to weave shirts out of nettles.

Anyways I really <3 fairy tales. :)

Oh wow, you were telling the truth about Catskin after all! I apologize for doubting you. It just seemed really... weird...

Oh, Wikipedia says that Allerleirauh ran away because her own father wanted to marry her after her mother died. Uber creepy and disgusting!

Oh, I love your take on fairy tales, and gets me ridiculously happy when you discuss them because that can only mean good things! They both sound really fabulous regardless of whether there are some slight mistakes, to be honest. It makes me want to pick up a book on fairy tales because I'm really only familiar with the more traditional ones.
