lunchy, the gotham edition

any suggestions for lunch in manhattan? i'm going on a yarn expedition tomorrow with my mom and my sister. woohoo!

also, has anyone been to habu textiles? yay/nay? i'm already going to purl soho, which carries some of their stuff, but if the experience of being there is not to be missed... i'll put it on my list.

OK I knowwwww I knowwwwwwwww. I'm just missing Manhattan a lot these days - I put Sex and the City on the other day (shielding Ruby's eyes and ears - no, actually I lie, I let her soak it all in).

any dim sum sounds AMAZING right now. i think that may be in the running (veggie or not, and with us you never know).

and i am seriously tempted to go to romatic, despite the fact that i don't realllllly need anything there.

If you go and you see *cheap* ($5 or less) Bento Boxes that are not Peanuts characters, buy me one? It's not a big deal, and I shouldn't get any anyway but if you're there...

Ohh, I wonder if that awesome Asian candy store is still there. You should go play in Chinatown FOR ME. There's not really a true Chinatown here (there's kind of a vague stretch of highway with stuff, NOT THE SAME) and I miss it.

the candy store HAS to be there. there's one here, it just has less stuff (more of the snacky things, less of the gummy things) and CAKE. very weird. where the gummies at?

If you are going to Purl, you should have lunch at Once Upon a Tart! Just like we did when we went to Purl. At least buy a cookie or something. Yum. I am sad that I am no longer on the NYC metro area and won't be able to hang out with you. :( Also, check in at Purl Patchwork (a few doors away) and report back, please. I have this cookoo idea that I am going to learn how to quilt. In my spare time. Hahahahahahahahaha x infinity!
