okay , u know those relationships you have with people that consist of only this: you see them, you know they see you and you just kinda look at eachother for like a split second and then you go on your way, knowing that you both have seen each other but not doing anything to acknowlage them, u dont do this out of a dislike for them but u do it all

I avoid that by smiling and saying hi to the person, OR in the rare cases when I don't want to see them at all, I figure out who they are BEFORE we make eye contact and then find something stupid to distract myself with like my ipod or cell phone.

Because some people think they're your best friend if you say hi to them nicely like once, and then they expect you to give them a hug and have a conversation every time you pass them.
