Whoa. I had no idea. And I'm one of those people who would really LOVE to do jury duty one day. Thankee! I'm gonna remember this.

You're welcome. I was actually very surprised when I found this out; it seemed like it just couldn't be legal. Although, if you are ever called for jury duty and in the process of questioning you reveal that you're aware of your rights as a juror, you'll probably be excused from jury duty. Because the best jurors are ignorant jurors!
