hahahahaha, my dad said it when we were talking about China about something... oh I think how while governments can be anti-America, most of the time the people are friendly about Americans, and so my dad chips in with that quote when we came to China. I just broke down laughing. It was hilarious....

the funniest thing is that someone from a Chinese delegation had said that. Apparently he would go to drive in theaters in China and most the cars there were rented. Go figure.

LOL. Although, having *been* to China this summer, I'm actually more surprised they even bothered to rent the cars in the first place. The Chinese take a very agnostic approach to their traffic laws -- they might exist, but the average mortal can never know for sure. Which makes China a verrrry interesting place to possess a car, even on a rental basis; basically, you can either 1. drive in China, or 2. care about living another day and not drive in China. Personally, I'd have thought most people would *walk* into the drive-in movie. Go figure indeed... :)
