I've recently been wondering about the evolution of Reptiles. These are believed to have evolved from Amphibians which in turn evolved from Fish, but it occured to me can that be right, as Fish & Reptiles have scales but Amphibians do not, and it seems very unlikely that scales would disappear and then make a comeback. These days they could probably use DNA sequencing to investigate this sort of issue.

The BIG question about lizards is :-

"Why do people keep voting them for them ?"

so that the wrong lizard doesn't get in

I'm not sure you can use DNA sequencing for that. The fossils aint no good because ones that old have ossified, and they've been finding that modern creatures have been picking up weird bits of DNA from all over the place. I need to talk to a quality evolutionary biologist

I don't know anything about him apart from what I've just read on a quick google search, and he doesn't sound like the right person to ask!

Btw, did you know your LJ settings mean you can be found on google? I did a quick search for Doc Archer and this post came up third. There's a setting somewhere to turn off google spidering.
