Yesterday, Jason went to a meeting with my old boss and coworkers from the Health Department. He said that they had nothing but good things to say about my work there and that because of the programs I created/implemented in Thurston and Mason County, 47 people have able to get into chemical dependency treatment so far. I get about an hour and a half on the bus each day to think about all the things in my life I want to figure out, but it's also a crowded and distracting chunk of time and I never get anywhere without being distracted. Two nurse practitioners told me to go home today, right as I was about to start my shift. They heard me coughing and asked how I was feeling compared to last Thursday (when I stayed home sick). I am really, really sick. I left class after my physics midterm yesterday and missed two important lectures, but I knew something was wrong and had to get out of there.
